Ever had a wine from Napa Valley? Yes, you have.
Ever tasted a Gamay Noir (as in a Beaujolais)?
Yeah you probably have...but have you tasted a Gamay Noir from the Napa Valley?
I have...check out my post this week on Wine Sediments.

In high school, one of my favorite wines was the Gamay Rosé from V. Sattui in Napa. Dad used to get a sampler case from them every Christmas, and I learned a lot about wine from those bottles. Every now and then we find an old Sattui '97 Cabernet Sauvignon or something that got lost in the shuffle, and will share it over dinner.
