I absolutely agree with you on the Early Wine from Macari for Turkey Day. I also think Roanoke's Chardonnay would be a nice choice. Having never had Martha Clara's sparkling, I'd suggest Lieb's blanc de blanc. And for a Red, what about Shinn Estates "Red"? I think I'll give that a try. And dessert?, either Wolffer Late Harvest Chardonnay or Waters Crest Night Watch.
And hey, forget the weight thing for a day...it's Thanksgiving. Have a good one.

Lenn: You are RIGHT ON with your pinot noir and riesling picks. This is a meal to keep it simple and appeal to the different palates sitting around the table, many of them belonging to folks who don't drink wine too many other days of the year. Wines with fruit, and maybe a bit of r.s., will hit the spot. Cheers!
