I was just at Wolffer on Saturday. I bought a bottle of Cabernet Franc and it was excellent. My friend had the five wine tasting. The Estate Chard, in his words, had so much barrel age that it tasted like burnt bread (in a good way). Lenn, if you had this wine I'd love to hear your thoughts. As delicious as it was, after a half glass I could see the wine becoming tiresome to drink. Kind of like a woman who's wearing so much make up she attracts the eye but once all the colors are scrubbed off, what's there. Still, I could see this wine pairing quite well with scallops in a butter sauce. Yummy. More at http://www.AWineStory.com
