What did you think of that Roanoke you picked up last time?

When I tasted it at Roanoke I liked it a lot -- if I remember correctly, it's a bit more structured than some of the other LI Merlots I've had lately -- although I haven't opened the bottle I bought yet. Lenn has told me to hold onto to it for a few years, and while in general I do everything Lenn says, I think it's already lovely and, frankly, don't have the space/patience to cellar it long-term.

I also had in the tasting room and was very impressed. Considering the vineyard and winemaker, I'm sure that it will age nicely. But I also agree with you that it is drinking very well now.
Enjoy!
