Jason,

This event is truly one of the best wine tasting events I have ever attended. And like you have attended way more than I can recount. The Corning Museum of Glass is a beautiful backdrop and still close to the wineries (for more tasting on Sunday). Market Street in Corning has a number of excellent restaurants and shops. The event itself has a morning educational program lead by some of the leading winemakers and wine educators in the Finger Lakes. The afternoon is the actual "judging" event where consumers taste and ultimately award scores and medals to the submitted wines. Almost 300 wines from the Finger Lakes were judged this year and for many people this was the first chance of the year to taste many of the newly released wines from the 2007 vintage.

Again, this event should be on any wine lover's list for must attend events in 2009. Lots of fun, great food, and most important, the favorite consumer-selected Finger Lakes wine!

As a proud son of Corning, I cannot agree with you more about the charm of the small city and the museum. It's a wonderful town with a beautiful ambience and the Glass Museum is great! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the event.
