Glad I checked in to see what you were up to today...two of my favorite whites in the Fork on display! Needless to say, I adore both of these '07s (an even in a less than stellar year, I find Paumanok's Chenin at the very least, charming) and think you've chosen brilliantly. The Macari '07 could certainly wow any Kiwi-Sauvignon Blanc fan, but is certain to please a Loire lover as well- believe it or not, it's the most expensive wine by the glass at the Frisky Oyster these days!
I'm starting to liken Paumanok to Foxen, and not just because of their Chenin & Cab Franc ties...but they seem to be share the jack of all trades card in an unpretentious, yet serious fashion- can't get enough of either of their wines.
Anyhow, great post- hope all is well w/ you.
