It's pretty good. Those spontaneous shoots are tough to get the way you want. It's like you're a prospector tapping at the rocks hoping a gem will pop up. I think you should continue but script in the meat and then hope your subject will evolve the way you want. People are tough. Landscape is better behaved.

Personally, I love video on blogs. I've seen some videos shot with the Mino using a tripod for interviews that included the vlogger and that was neat.

I'm just starting to experiment with using the Mino myself and I think that it requires trial and error and you'll be happier with the results as you go along.
