Lenn,

Standing Stone is one of my favorite FL winery, perhaps because we get along with Tom and Marti.

I am writing to comment on your uncertainty of whether to refer to this wine as a Bordeaux style blend or Meritage. The latter is a trademarked name for the former. To use Meritage on a label a royalty of $0.10 was required to be paid to the association that owns the trademark. So in my opinion it is more appropriate to say Bordeaux style blend. Although, in this case, the wine could also have been called Cabernet Sauvignon, since it contains more than 75% CS.
Cheers.

Charles
