Ah, nice to see someone using the name "Blaufrankisch." Or, rather, nice to see someone not using "Lemberger." I say that because I have seen, time and time again, a visceral and negative reaction from friends when I bring up the idea of drinking a Finger Lakes Lemberger. The image of cheese is a powerful one, and it doesn't help. At all. I realize that the ball is already rolling downhill for some places, but I wish the Finger Lakes would have gone with a different name -- either Blau or even something invented.

I would love to try this wine and because of your review, all the more. I too have absolutely loved Channing's whites. Their Mosaic is the one I tried most recently and loved.
