Cab Franc is certainly a good fit for NY. I think it really shines here, especially when compared to warmer climate Cab Franc.

We've just seeded 3000 vines of Cabernet Cubin, can't hardly wait what will it produce cos its new vine in our region.

I'm not sure if this is still the case, but one grape that Standing Stone does not grow is Cabernet Franc. So these grapes probably come from a source other than the old Gold Seal vineyards. In the past I know some of the fruit was from Sawmill Creek, which would still be banana belt.
