I can recommend Veramar, which I recently visited.

As a follow up to my earlier comment, there are several dozens of interesting wineries not too far away from the place where the conference will take place. I understand, the organizers of the conference are working on a tour of some of these wineries on Monday 26. I have recently visited Veramar and was very impressed.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to stick around long enough for the Monday goings on, but thanks for the tip.

What are some of your other favorites in the area?

Where in Virginia wine country was your gathering? I hope you had a great time and look forward to your comments.

There was also James River Cellars-sponsored big tented wine tasting here in Richmond this weeken with about 15 Virginia wineries.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend.

We had Elvis Costello last night and The National Friday night here in Richmond at the National Theater. Amazing!

Safe travel home to LI, Lenn!
