That wine was bottled using a batch of corks that Dear Leader bought from a German colleague, sight unseen, and almost every bottle had a very slight TCA note. It's still there, I see.

Glad to know I wasn't crazy! :) My TCA spidey sense was going crazy this weekend with 5 cork taint detected wines in the Finger Lakes. :)

This sounds like it was a good time. Nice find for $36 (1991).

I've never visited Village Tavern, but will have to make a stop next time we're in the area.
