We stopped in at Clovis Point on Sunday on the way home from the Shinn Estate Vineyards futures dinner. We will definitely be back as the syrah was quite good - and the '04 merlot was a complete steal at something like $10/btl on sale. Plus the facility is lovely.

Paul: For me the Archeology and 07 Vintner's Select Merlot were the real stars, but yes, that 04 has really evolved recently. I enjoyed a bottle recently.

For $10 on sale, it's a steal for sure.

Sorry we didn't connect this time around. When will you be out this way again?

Lenn-

You basically did my 'run' every time I am down, with the exception that you missed Lenz. Great minds think alike.

Really glad you got a chance to head into Clovis Point. I liked the reds so much I am now a card carrying club member. I keep restocking the 2004 Merlot, at the discount price now, and it only seems to improve.

Steve: I know you're a red wine lover, so that makes absolute sense!

Hope you're well and that we'll cross paths the next time you're down here!

Can't say for sure when we'll be NoFo-bound again (we really hate the traffic getting back into the city) - maybe when we pick up our Shinn wines?
