I'm an Internet marketing guy by day who fills his evenings, weekends and creative mind with the best food and wine that Long Island (and New York) has to offer.
Biography
When Lenn Thompson isn’t working as the Internet content manager for a large software company, he can be found sipping his way through the many wine regions of New York State. A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, Lenn moved to Long Island six years ago and fell in love with the region's still-growing and under-appreciated wine industry (and his wife, Nena).
Bringing his two true passions -- writing and wine -- together in his spare time, Lenn writes weekly wine columns for Dan's Papers and Hamptons.com, serves as Appellation America's regional editor for Long Island, is editor of the Long Island Wine Gazette, and manages and edits LENNDEVOURS, the New York-focused wine (and food) blog he founded in 2004.
An admitted wine geek, Lenn has a low tolerance for wine snobs who suck the fun out of wine. His mottos are:
“Drink Local. Eat Local. Live Local.”
and
“Drink what you like. Don’t listen to critics.”
