Congratulations-now make sure to get a chimney style charcoal starter and avoid all that nasty kerosene flavor from lighter fluid.

I'm not a big fan of gas grills, though they have their advantages in the winter. A Weber kettle is the gold standard for a reason, we replaced ours last year after 15 years of life outside. The next grill I want is an old fashioned, cast iron hibachi; just right for quick weeknight meals.
