The bursting shoots in Gabby's rows,
each passing day they lengthen so.
The sun hangs longer in the sky
and brings to life these sleeping vines.
So with this changed activity
abated breaths held anxiously.
A nascent inflorescence hides
amid the leaves, our growers' pride.
His mind envisions luscious reds
from what are now just floral heads.
With luck the sun will stay exposed
and rain will not become his foe.
Regardless, Gabby will toil in time
To bring you a Cabernet Franc that is absolutely... sublime!
