I was so sorry to hear of Chef Debra's death. My husband and I actually found out about it in the middle of watching "Chopped", when I did a Yahoo! search for her name.

We never knew her, but still, we were greatly saddened to learn of her death. She seemed like a very nice person.

Our sincere condolences to her husband and family.

I just watched the Chopped show as well and noticed the dedication at the end of the episode. I am so sorry to hear of Debra Whitings passing. I am sure the culinary world will be a little less bright without her. Please send my sincere condolences to her husband and family.

I as well just watched Chopped and did a Google search with really just portions of her name. At the time,I didn't know who it was and thought maybe it was a FoodNetwork staff person. Then when th page downloaded, I saw her photo. This is really sad. She seemed so very sweet on the show. My prayers are with the family.

It was a shining moment in Chef Debra Whiting's career to be featured on Chopped. I'm sure her family was so proud of her and her career change. God bless.
