For years, we've wanted to find someone "on the ground" in the Lake Erie-Chautauqua region -- and we've finally found that person in Tom Kane.
A native of Buffalo, (and its suburbs), Tom discovered New York wines around 15 years ago, and has been a passionate fan and advocate ever since. Finding himself in close proximity to the Niagara Wine Trail, the Lake Erie Wine Trail and just a few hours from the Finger Lakes, has made him realize “Yes, I like it here!”
Tom, and his wife Maria, share a passion for wine and really good beer. The majority of their free time and vacations revolve around beer and wine in one way or another. And, frequent visits to western New York wineries have help him build numerous relationships with, or at least tolerance from, the local producers.
Tom joins us as "Lake Erie Correspondent." His first piece -- an introduction to the region -- is in the works.
Outstanding - welcome! We look forward to your reports from the western frontier.

Glad to have you on the team, Tom! I've enjoyed having Tom and Maria's passion and enthusiasm as part of my wine classes at Premier in the past. It will be great to get Tom's perspective on the Lake Erie region.
